Do You Have What It Takes?
Do you have what it takes to dedicate yourself to serving the community? Lillian Fire/ Rescue is staffed by 100% Volunteer Members, and there is always a need for more members. According to 2007 NFPA Statistics 72% of Fire Departments in America are Volunteer Departments. A common misconception is " the standards are far to high for me to join," when in fact many are surprised to find out that initial volunteer requirements aren't. Lillian Fire/ Rescue provides all of its members with the appropriate training.
Lillian Fire/ Rescue Membership Requirements
Members are not required to live in district
All members residing outside of the district are required to be on shift for 8 hours each week, and be on an 8 hour shift during one weekend day of the month.
All in-district members must attend 25% of all calls, or meet out-of-district hour requirements
Members are provided Training
All members must attend 80% of all training provided
Members must have a clean criminal record
Members must have an acceptable driving record as defined by Department Insurance requirements
Members must be at minimum 18 years of age for active membership
Members must have a High School Diploma or GED

By submitting an application you are acknowledging that all information contained within the application is true to the best of your ability, and authorize the Department to conduct preliminary membership investigations to include Criminal Records Check. Complete the application in its entirety, do not leave any blanks. For any question that is not applicable place "N/A" in the answer box. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Once your application has been review you will be contacted.
